Walk into a gallery
Are you the evening? the car house payment? a hunger
And waiting for a cup of coffee
To set things straight?

Did you walk out of a conversation you had with the weatherman and the voice mail
and the clean cut scissors snapping at the computer
making connections with joe or jane for a date or a game?

Can you describe the shape of your ankle -
would you know it from anothers?
Or is your ankle bronze, flesh
or an idea you read about?

Are your body and mind corresponding
And see other on a regular basis
Or are they both shut behind doors and screens with signs??
