POETRY BY GILES "DENMARK" MITCHELL

Daffodils the joy of Spring

I have a love for poetry, landscape, the sky, nature and living in the south of France
enables me to indulge, reflect, romanticize myself and with the nature around.

Here are some poems written over the years up till now.

The 2nd jab and the 3rd job
(July 23 2021) Poem by Giles Denmark

Give motion to the potions
Its time Nations
Stop sucking thumbs
Open doors and let earth breathe!
Step forward and shake hands
And Spring out of the shade

Covid (June 3 2021)

Viper bites
Arrow tongue
Numb

Henge
Stone
Wails

Walking on Water (June 2 2021)

Strange
Is skin really white?
Bleached?
Where all stains are removed
All gains all creation?

The Bare Table (June 2 2021)

Ripples on sand
The sky stark

Born again

Sweet Day
So Cool
So Calm

I embrace
The sun
Horizon

The taste
Of day

Become

I

Those in the future
In history books and charts
Shall see the dirt, the wars, and the grime
In this shameful century of thousands

The age of sores in mind and body
Set drunkenly open where spirits can linger at ease
Cheefully bringing disaster with knowledge
To devour our brains but to give us that ease.

But that ease is elsewhere

II

Many thoughts are dead, some are just there
Whilst a few are ascending to complete
heaven or destruction

Like animals in a jungle
A man has to eat
He can demolish his own race
To make himself
A man.
